Welcome to the Rangers' domain. Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, features a retractable roof. It is the Major League Baseball home of the Texas Rangers. It's just south of Choctaw Stadium, the Rangers' previous home stadium.

Globe Life Field is the somewhat contentious replacement for Globe Life Park, which opened in 1994 and housed the Texas Rangers for 26 seasons. The stadium with a retractable roof was deemed necessary for the team's continued success. Globe Life retained naming rights (if you are confused, remember Park is Past and Field is Future) even though the old stadium was not demolished and became a multi-purpose venue that now hosts football games and other events. Yes! That is right.

Talk about The Rangers. The Texas Rangers is a Major League Baseball (MLB) team that plays in the American League (AL) West division. After playing at Choctaw Stadium from 1994 to 2019, the Rangers relocated to the new Globe Life Field in Arlington in 2020. The Texas Rangers is the same as that of the law enforcement agency of the same name. Inspiring, right?

The Rangers have made eight postseason appearances, seven following division titles in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2010, 2011, 2015, and 2016, and one as a wild card team in 2012. The Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in the division series for the first time in 2010. After defeating the New York Yankees in six games, the team won its first American League pennant. Alright!
